Rachel delights in helping others grow in their ability to express themselves musically, both by studying particular dance styles and by incorporating diverse elements into a unique personal style. She also believes in a leading and following dynamic in which partners connect with and inspire one another to dance creatively.
Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Appalachian State University as well as an adult education certification from Cambridge. Her years as a language teacher and dance instructor have given her considerable experience in designing curricula, breaking down ideas to be easily understood, and adapting instruction to the needs of her students.
Rachel has developed her own curriculum for teaching kizomba and blues dancing. She can give you a strong foundation, correct problem areas, guide you in body movement and styling, and challenge you with fun new moves. She’ll soon have you dancing better than you ever have before!
